Frequently Asked Questions
Coin Parking
- Are the 24-hour maximum fee and same-day maximum fee applied only once?
- They are applied repeatedly, not just once.
- Can I park for a long period (e.g., one week)?
- Yes, you can. As a rule, parking is limited to within 48 hours. If you wish to use the parking for more than 48 hours, please contact our office (075-361-7431) before use.
- What is the size of a coin parking space?
- The standard size is 5 m long and 2.5 m wide. There are also spaces 2.3 m wide and spaces dedicated to light vehicles, so please check each parking lot's page.
Parking Lots (Staffed)
- Can I reserve a parking space?
- Reservations for standard cars are not accepted. For buses, some parking lots accept online reservations. (Former Imperial Villa Nijo Castle, Okazaki Park)
- I was turned away when I tried to use a sightseeing parking lot with a standard car.
- We apologize. Sightseeing parking lots give priority to buses and taxis, so during busy periods or when congestion is expected, we may decline entry for private cars.
- Is there a discount for people with disabilities?
- The only parking lot with a disability discount is "Kyoto Station Hachijoguchi Parking." It offers one hour free. This is on condition that the person with a disability is driving or riding in the vehicle.
Before payment, please present your parking ticket and disability certificate to the parking staff.
